First mentioned in 1322, the building history of Tallinn Town Hall goes back to the 13th century. The management of the city worked in the Town Hall until 1970. Today the Town Hall functions as the ceremonial building of the city government.

The unique interior and history of the Town Hall gives festivity, dignity and weight to any official event and suits well for chamber concerts. Civil wedding ceremonies are carried out at in the Citizens' Hall by Tallinn Registry Office.
Private celebrations are not held in the Town Hall and it can not be hired for catering tourists and for dinner parties.
